Weather in India
We can divide India into 3 climatic zones, the north, south and hill regions. India is so big that temperatures and conditions may vary from north to south. India may also be divided into 3 distinctive seasons, winter, summer and the monsoon. Summer begins about February and the heat rises until it becomes unbearable by the month of May. Both land and air become dusty and unpleasant. Towards the end of may we begin to notice the first signs of the monsoon season. When it finally arrives about June, it is a great relief for the people and the land. It is sure to rain everyday but perhaps not all day. The monsoon ends at the end of October and winter moves in. Nights become cold and you may even find snow in the northern areas.
clothing: light to tropical weight would be appropriate all year, with a raincoat or waterproof clothing throughout the monsoon season.
