Weather in Guyana
Guyana is situated on the Atlantic coast of South America. The lowlands have a typical hot, wet, equatorial climate with constant humidity. There is little seasonal variation with a range of 23c to 30c degrees year-long. Sea breezes bring relief from humidity during the day on the coast. The wettest months are from May to July and November to January. Inland on the higher plateau rainfall may be slightly less and there is a tendency for a single rainy season from April to September. Daytime temperatures are less than on the coast and nights cooler. The country lies outside of the hurricane belt.
