Colombia has a very warm, tropical climate on the coast and also in the north with a long rainy season starting in may through to November. Climates vary as the altitude changes. Upland regions experience a cooler climate and it is colder in the mountain areas. Bogota experiences eternal spring with its cool days and crisp nights. Clothing: in the northern areas and on the coast, light cottons and linens are advisable, with rainwear during the rainy season. In the upland or mountain areas it is colder so you may require from medium to heavyweight clothing.
