Saudi Arabia is extremely dry all year round. During the summer months on the coast, it tends to be hot and humid, whereas the winters are much cooler with light rain. Further inland summers are very hot and dry. Dust storms are also frequent in the summer. Winter time brings along the heavy rains. Mountain regions are inclined to be relatively temperate with moderate temperatures in the summer and cold winters. Temperatures inland during the summer may reach up to 42 degrees and 19 degrees during the winter, while coastal areas experience temperatures of 29 degrees in winter and 37 degrees in summer.
CLOTHING: light weight or tropical throughout the year warmer clothing is advisable for the nights and winter months. For formal occasions you will be required to wear a lightweight suit. Women should dress with discretion.
