Weather in Qatar
Qatar lies on the western coast of the Persian Gulf. In the coastal area it is hot and humid during the summer and mild in the winter; midday temperatures in july & august can reach up to 44c degrees, with humidity at 85 percent. Rainfall averaging 75mm per year occurs mainly during the milder and more pleasant winter months of December to February. Windblown sand covers much of the south.
CLOTHING: lightweight throughout the year. Warmer clothes recommended for the cooler winter evenings and desert nights. Modest attire is desirable especially for women.
