Weather in Bangladesh
Bangladesh is a very low-lying country at the head of the bay of Bengals. It has a tropical monsoon climate with a threefold climatic cycle. The cool season from November to February, a hot season from March until early June experiencing some thundery rainstorms and the southwest monsoon season from June to September when rainfall is heavy and frequent. Most of the country receives from 1500 - 2500mm of rain a year and near the eastern border as much as 3750mm. During September to November the coastal areas of the Ganges delta are subjected to periodical flooding as the result of violent tropical cyclones. Temperatures and humidity remain high throughout the year. Clothing: in winter - lightweight with light topcoat in northern areas. Summer - tropical weight and rainwear.
