Tanzania experiences an equatorial type of climate, with temperature averaging 26 degrees. There are two distinct seasons, the dry season and the wet season. The dry season begins in May through to October, with the rainy season running from November to April. Coastal regions are subjected to heavier rainfall than the inland areas. The inland plateau tends to be dry and arid. Humidity is high throughout the year with an average annual rainfall of 1000 to 1900mm. CLOTHING: tropical and lightweight, easy-to-wash cottons. A pullover may be needed in the evenings. Waterproof clothing is advisable throughout the year.
