Weather in Ethiopia
Most of Ethiopia experiences a tropical climate, tempered by the altitude, with a wet season at the time of the high sun. The lowlands are hot and dry, semi-arid to desert climate. Alpine regions are warm but seldom too hot. Monsoon season begins in June through to September, with very little rainfall. Average daily temperatures reach about 26 degrees.
CLOTHING: on the lowland plateaus tropical or easy-to-wash cottons are necessary. In the higher regions warmer clothing will be required.
