Weather in Angola
Over most of Angola, a coastal country of southwestern Africa, the weather and climate are typical of a tropical plateau with a single wet season at the time of high sun and a long dry season. Angola's rainfall patterns vary considerably from southwest to northeast. Annual precipitation increases from almost none along the southwestern coastal desert to more than 1000mm in the northeastern third of the country. The seven-month long rainy season in the north from October to May is often as much as two months longer than in the south. Temperatures vary little by season from cool 16c degrees in the highlands to 27c degrees in soya in the south.
